In this warm letter Olive Schreiner touches on personal and political matters including her perception that if the Nationalist Party won the next General Election in South Africa there would "be no hope". She felt the Nats only needed to bide their time in order to win. Bessie Reitz was the daughter of President F. W. Reitz of the O. F. S.
