The Man of Pleasure's Pocket Book or, The Bon Vivant's Vade Mecum for the Year 1780. An original leather bound 12mo book featuring an introductory printed text followed by a printed diary format facilitating the recording of accounts, appointments and memoranda which has been completed in manuscript by the original owner between 1784 & 1790. This is followed by further printed pages of general information. Together with a manuscript 'Inventory and Valuation for Probate for the Estate of Mrs. E. Ransome, Westwick College, Harpenden, Herts, 1900.' CONDITION REPORT: Cover on Pocket Book worn with some minor loss to binding o/w vg.This 1780 Edition has 176 pages. The binding, as you can see, is virtually all present except for a very short section at the head of the spine - I would judge it to be capable of repair/ restoration by a specialist bookbinder. There is no plate and none is referred to in the table of contents.
