A .41” RF DB Woodward’s patent O&U turnover pistol, 7½” overall, round barrels 4¼”, number 917, B’ham proved, the lined frame engraved “Woodward’s Reg Feb 4 1863” in oval, with top safety, spur trigger and chequered walnut grips. GWO & C, the barrels retaining traces of original blue; in blue baize lined fitted mahogany case, the burr walnut veneered lid having shield shaped brass escutcheon, containing reproduction turnscrew, nipple key and cleaning rod and key to case. Ring size O½ CONDITION REPORT Estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.40 carats. Estimated colour - G / H. Estimated clarity range - VS2 / SI1. Sapphire measures approximately 4.30mm diameter x 3.30mm. Facets very worn, surface scratches / abrasions and needs re-polishing. Bezel approximately 11mm diameter. Ring size O½ CONDITION REPORT Good condition, no damage or repairs. Shank shows evidence of re-sizing, red stones are possibly rubies, no hallmarks, probably 9ct or 15ct gold. Rare 17th century tortoiseshell and silver mounted table snuff box of oval form, the lid with applied silver disc engraved with a Man o' War in full sail, the foreground with a gentleman on the shore, the underneath also with an applied silver oval plaque with engraved verse - 'This Sister Prince doth heartily bestow, keep it in Memory of the Love I Owe. John Gurr 1687', 10.5cm x 9cm CONDITION REPORT General overall condition good. Tortoiseshell very good for age, some surface wear and scratching but no signs of major damage or repair. Applied silver disc on cover is good, engraving is clear but slightly worn. Applied disc to base also slightly worn and dented. Hinge possibly repaired a long time ago. Clasp has been broken and repaired a long time ago
A 17TH CENTURY GLASS AND TAPESTRY SET RING, circa 1690-1700, the oval closed back mount engraved to the reverse with initials E.N, inlaid with blue and enamelling and tapestry work depicting two cherubs and delicate gold coloured scroll work, beneath a domed faceted glass mount, set between split scroll detail shoulders with subtle moulded detailing.
