Very original & most interesting, and I'm keen on work that has a psychological bearing. I want more of it... I attach much value to your story.' Wreck Mail: 1862 October 17, cover from Port Lincoln, South Australia to England, carried on the P&O steamship "Colombo" which sank on 19th November 1862 near the Laccadive Islands in the Indian Ocean, the mail was subsequently recovered by divers and items that were in a fit state to be sent on after drying received a cachet "Saved from the wreck of/the Colombo", this cover was forwarded to London where it received a 'LONDON E.C./PAID' cds for FE 5 63 in red (the SA adhesive having become lost) and sent on the addressee in Hertfordshire, the reverse bears a Watford cds for FE 6 63, as fine as might be expected!
