The design is attributed to O. Mader, and the instruction booklet (in French) is entitled L' Analyseur Harmonique Mader-Ott.Secondly; A universal or combination planimeter by A Ott, complete with accessories in velvet lined case, case width 25cm;Notes: the universal planimeter can be used as a linear, polar, or radial planimeter. (c.1921), to [Clifford] Bax, on the printed stationery of Form, a monthly magazine of the arts. Spare informs his correspondent, in part, 'So pleased to have your contribution - would you mind if it appeared in the Dec: number? The first is finished: No 2 in hand and already a large number but will try to include it by leaving out my own article and a double page plate... Let me say how much I liked it. Very original & most interesting, and I'm keen on work that has a psychological bearing. I want more of it... I attach much value to your story.' Wreck Mail: 1862 October 17, cover from Port Lincoln, South Australia to England, carried on the P&O steamship "Colombo" which sank on 19th November 1862 near the Laccadive Islands in the Indian Ocean, the mail was subsequently recovered by divers and items that were in a fit state to be sent on after drying received a cachet "Saved from the wreck of/the Colombo", this cover was forwarded to London where it received a 'LONDON E.C./PAID' cds for FE 5 63 in red (the SA adhesive having become lost) and sent on the addressee in Hertfordshire, the reverse bears a Watford cds for FE 6 63, as fine as might be expected!
