A wonderful 1950's P&O Cruise Line photograph album, filled with personal photographs and related brochures etc pertaining to a cruise on ' Chusan ' in 1953 around the Mediterranean. As the Chusan left London, it has a collision in the Thames Estuary with a merchant ship ' Prospector '. Several personal photographs and newspaper cuttings accompany this story. Also included is a passenger list ( the album relating to a Mrs Pike of Bristol who is listed in the passenger report), menus, related cards and slips etc. Many of the photographs give and interesting insight into a post - WWII Second World War world.

With Northern songs credits for tracks A6,A7,B4 an B6. Known as a 'crossover' pressing between the 1st and 2nd issues, this version is a '2nd' pressing on side 1 with a '1st' pressing side 2. The record is in clean VG condition. There are some surface markings and scuff marks to both sides, though these are never of a heavier nature with no scratches noted. The labels are clean with some light wear around the spindle hole. Matrix/stampers: XEX 421-1N 1L & 422-1N 1 2 G O. Please note that the sleeve is graded in poor condition. Otto Tilche (German, late 19th/early 20th Century), Arabs on camels with the Sphinx behind; Arabs on camels in a sandstorm , watercolour, the first signed with initials 'O.T', the other signed 'O. Tilke' , 4 1/8 x 7 1/8in. (10.5 x 18cm.). (2)* Condition: Both have some mount burn to top edge and lesser mount burn to side margins. No foxing. Colours slightly faded.
Follower of Willem van de Velde I (Dutch, 1611-1693), Dutch men-o'-war and other ships off the coast , oil on relined canvas, in a modern 19th century style swept frame , 23½ x 36¾in. (59.75 x 93.5cm.)* Condition: Canvas has recent relining and is in a modern frame. Varnish yellowed throughout and would benefit from professional cleaning. Some craquelure visible across the canvas. Patch of paint flaking visible betwen the two main masts of the right hand ship and larger area of paint flaking visible beneath the varnish in the sky above the left hand ship (over an area approx. 9 x 4in.). Retouching visible to margins.Examined under UV - a blocking varnish has been used, so very little is shown. There is a patch of repainting towards the top right corner and some overpainting visible between the two main masts of the right hand ship.
