With the arrival at Moet & Chandon of the Chef de Cave Richard Geoffroy, the Dom Pérignon Oenothéque, project got under way, consisting of three levels of maturity: 6-7 years for presentation on the market of the vintage première plènitude; 12-15 years for the finest vintages to become Dom Pérignon Oenothéque deuxième plénitude; and then, only after no less than 20-30 years, a very limited number of bottles achieve the height of Dom Pérignon Oenothéque troisiéme plenitude: 1959, 1962 and 1973 are three vintages that had this great honor.
