A pair of 18th century steel chemist scales, with brass hands and gilt metal weights all within an oak made up box together with a set of Victorian brass postal scales and weights and a Maelzel Paquet metronome. CONDITION REPORT: The metronome works. The case is in generally good order with only minor scratches and small blemishes. The door locks shut as it should. The hinge is in good order. The scale is in good condition. The feet are original. The postal scales are operational. The brass is tarnished and has lost much of its original lacquer. We have three weights. The base is a little dirty but has no significant issues. The balance scales are all present. The beam and pans are a little tarnished. There are some weights present. The box is a little dirty, scuffed and marked but has no significant issues.
