A 17th Century lead water cistern:, of D shaped outline with a curved back, the frieze decorated with a continuous band of leaves and berries, having square panels cast with stylised flowering stems within moulded square surrounds, the central arcaded panel with date 1653 and initials W over T S, 132cm (4ft 4in) long, 102cm (3ft 4in) high. *Notes The initials are those of Thomas and Sarah Wren.

A fine gold cased miniature fob watch: the circular white enamel dial, 20mm diameter with Roman numerals, the keywound movement with cylinder escapement, inscribed G & B A.S + the dust cover inscribed 'Girard et Bornand A S Croix, Echappement a Cylindre Huit Trous Rubis', the foliate engraved case numbered '460', decorated with blue and white enamel and highlighted with split seed-pearls, diamonds and rubies, two settings vacant, together with winding key and in original maroon fabric covered case.

Flood, Odiham, a Regency mahogany bracket clock: the eight-day duration, double-fusee, five-pillar movement striking the hours on a bell with pull repeat and border engraving to the backplate, the eight-inch round convex dial painted with black Roman numerals, the makers name S. Flood, Odiham, and having blued steel moon hands, the mahogany case with inset panels to the front inlaid with brass decoration, brass fretwork to the sides, cast brass cornucopia handles and surmounted to the top of the pediment with a cast pineapple finial, standing on brass ball feet, height 52cm.

Arthur Conan Doyle attended Dr. Bell's lectures whilst studying medicine at University & was so fascinated by his tutor's powers of observation & his deductive & inductive powers of reasoning that he (Joseph Bell) later became the inspiration for Conan Doyle's character Sherlock Holmes.

Ireland, Edward IV (1461-1483), Penny, Dublin mint, Suns and Roses coinage, c. 1478-1483, crowned facing bust, rose (left) and sun at neck, rev rose in centre, suns and roses in angles, [CIVITAS] DVB LIN, 0.54g (DF 167; S. 6393). Good fine, flan with slight curvature and somewhat short, but an exceptionally clear example and very rare thus.

George III, Pattern Bank of England Shield Dollar, 1798, the master puncheon die, by Conrad Heinrich KÏŒchler, showing only the crowned shield of arms, in positive, in order to make the actual die in intaglio and without legend or date, the side deeply stamped "R.H", the initials of Ralph Heaton, approx. 53 x 65mm (ESC rev. 1a, cf 168-172; Davis 2; L & S 31). Good fine, actual medal surface showing rust damage.
Matthew Boulton, 10th Anniversary of his Death, 1819, a pair of reverse dies for the Memorial Medal, by G F Pidgeon, legend in 4 lines within wreath, INVENTAS / AVT QVI VITAM / EXCOLVERE PER / ARTIS, 64 x 80mm, 65 x 83mm (cf BHM 976; Eimer 1114; Pollard pp 316-318). Good fine and fine, actual medal surface showing rust damage, especially the first. (2) The most damaged die appears to be signed beneath the tie of the wreath, suggesting that the second, less damaged die, was produced in the 1850's when the medal was re-struck. Certainly there appears to be small differences in the placement of the letters with regard to the wreath.
