MARCEL DYF (1899-1985) "Villeneuve les Avignons", oil on canvas, signed bottom right, inscribed on label verso and No'd 1278, 60 cm x 73 cm (ARR) CONDITION REPORTS The picture is in a very unstable condition, has large areas of significant cracking and flaking throughout, in need of sympathetic restoration. Has areas of dirt as well s general wear and tear conducive with age and use. Frame has areas of cracking and general wear and tear - see images for further details
An early Victorian mahogany chiffonier, the two tier shelved back with ornate acanthus carved S scroll and turned column supports above a cushioned drawer and two arched panelled doors flanked by side pilasters, raised on a plinth base, 91 cm wide x 148 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Top is very loose and coming off the S scrolls at the base and juts back at an angle. Various marks, scratches, scuffs, dark marks, ring marks, impressed marks etc. Some damage to the galleried top at the back right corner. One side of the base is off and the veneer ripped and is detached although resting upon it - requires attention. Some small losses to the veneer in a few locations. All over various general signs of wear and tear throughout.
A circa 1700 silver trefid spoon (indistinct maker's mark and date stamp), initialled "M S" to top, approx 1.4 oz CONDITION REPORTS The bowl of the spoon is dented and misshapen with various light scratches throughout, the handle is slightly bent as is the top of the spoon. Hallmarks are slightly worn. All over general various signs of wear and tear throughout.
MARY FEDDEN (1915-2012), "Picking Apples, 1989", with figure picking apples from a tree, another figure on ladder and cottages in the background, oil on board, signed and dated 1989 bottom left, bears "Christopher Hull Gallery" label verso, inscribed "Mary Fedden - picking apples, 1989 - oil on canvas, 12" x 16" M S No 2389 Exhibition No 41/1989 - coll: Mr & Mrs Hawker, 1989" 30 cm x 41 cm, together with two letters from the artist to the owner dated September 12th and February 21st and signed "Christopher Hull" compliments slip (ARR) CONDITION REPORTS On board. Has general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include some spots of dirt, etc. See images for further details. The frame has some knocks and dents, dirt, etc, again conducive with age and use and has been written on in UV pen. See images for further details.
A treble viol mandolin hybrid with foliate engraved white metal plaque to the head housing the four pegs, with 24 frets to the ebony finger board, the body with a pine top and stained maple side and back, bears paper label to the interior "Francessco Rugeli dett' Il Ber Cremona I' Anno 1737", in a Thomas Lund mahogany case with blue velvet interior bearing brass plaque "Lund 57, Cornhill London", 60.5 cm long, body approx 14.5" CONDITION REPORTS The case locks are broken and missing parts to them. Evidently the key has been lost in the past. Box with various scratches, scuffs, marks etc throughout, a large split to the side of the lid. Various general signs of wear and tear expected with age and use. The treble viol mandolin hybrid - the white metal head is tarnished and metal is slightly bent in places. Body with various scratches, scuffs, marks, impressed marks etc. Appears to be a split running up near to the tail piece and also a split running near where the neck meets the body. The back is coming off at the sides in one large location and slightly at the opposite end. The bridge is off. All over various scratches, scuffs, marks, chips, some splits etc as expected with age and use - see images for further details
A 1970's Eugenio Gerli and Marlo Cristiani envelope table, manufactured by Tecno Italy, with a black lacquered fold-out extending top, raised on "+" section legs, 104.75 cm x 66.25 cm CONDITION REPORTS Surface very scratched, scuffed, marked etc, edges very worn and chipped,. Sections damaged, sections with losses etc especially to two of the corners. Interior is also very scratched and worn. Some hinges broken. All over various general signs of wear and tear throughout.
A Victorian burr walnut and brass bound ladies travelling dressing table box, the lid set with removable mirror and the base with blue leather fitted interior, fitted with cut glass and silver mounted dressing table bottles (various makers including Thomas Johnson, Halstaff and Hannaford, etc, all London, various dates), the tops engraved with coat of arms possibly for the Percy family, the lock inscribed "S Mordan & Co." and the leather interior bearing paper label inscribed "Halstaff and Hannaford, Manufacturers, 228 Regent Street", approx 32 cm x 24 cm CONDITION REPORTS The exterior has scratches, knocks and bruises etc as well as some faults with the wood from the burring. There is also some discolouration to the varnish and fading. The brass has some areas of pitting and discolouration etc. One pin is raised to the back right hand corner. Inside the mirroring is coming off in several places and has damp spots. Some of the lids are associated and either don't fit or don't fit completely, some of them are also squashed. The leather in the locking bottle has perished. There is scratching, wear and some signs of mildew to the leather. One glass bottle has a crack running from the top to approximately half way down and is cloudy to the interior. One has some liquid residue within it. The locking support is missing to one side

A fine Caucasian rug, the central panel set with three repeating rectangular medallions with canted corners on a red and blue ground with stylised floral and S motifs, within a stepped red and cream geometric patterned border, 273 cm x 127 cm CONDITION REPORTS Signs of wear and uneven wear throughout - could probably benefit from a good clean. The edges look particularly worn and the fringes are very worn. Some loose threads running down all edges and some resulting losses. Small repair to one edge and evidence of repairs in a few places. Early 20th century heavily embroidered Chinese robe, decorated with birds and flowering branches and wave border, on a black silk ground, 116cm and a lilac ground jacket. Pair of Chinese early 20th century carved ivory figures of archers in full battle dress wearing armour and resting weapons, raised on pierced bases, 30cm high CONDITION REPORT: Generally in good condition. Small hole & crack to top of man's head. Possible cracks to man's cloak, see images.Height without base 26cm. Generally good condition. They are carved from one piece and are pinned to the stands.
