A rare Arts and Crafts movement Verdigris globe 5 light chandelier, of circular form with 5 lights enclosed in opaque glass shades, the main body made of patinated metal and with a bronze verdigris patination, this chandelier is very probably by William Arthur Smith Benson (1854-1924) and dates to the late 19th Century circa 1895, Benson was very active in the Arts and Crafts movement and designed most if not all of the pieces which were manufactured by his company William Arthur Smith Benson and company. The provenance for this particular piece Sotheby`s sale in 2014 where the chandelier realized £1800

Largely relating to his work during the First World War whilst fighting in the 1. Ersatz Batallion, Regmt 88. Including various personal photographs, documents and related items (including a family tree). Along with his related collection of badges and medals; WWI Iron Cross, Honour Cross, Wound Badge, and others. Various note books and diaries note his work during this period. Documents then detail his joining of the NSDAP / Nazi Party in the 1930's, including his members book, lapel badges and other related items. An interesting collection of single-owner personal German historical effects.
A rare original 20th century 1960's Vietnam War Viet Cong battle flag. Featuring text to the top and bottom, with a central woven silk motif depicting a soldier with rifle. Roughly translates as ' The National Front liberates the south of Vietnam, The armed forces of the province Unit D.33.' Red cotton, with silken lettering. Measures approx; 108cm x 80cm.
