A Pair of George V Art Nouveau Silver Vases, E S Barnsley & Co, Birmingham 1910, with stiff leaf type decoration to the lower body and with twin stylised handles, 13.5cm high, 14.2ozt (2)Marks slightly rubbed but legible. Visible horizontal manufacturing seam to lower body. Minor scuffs and wear.
A Large Edwardian Silver Hip Flask, Colen Hewer Cheshire, Chester 1902, with bayonet fitting hinged cover, and detachable base, the front engraved with a monogram, the interior with faint inscription, 16.5cm high, 12.3oztMonogram appears to be an S, A and another letter possibly an E, see image. Cork to interior of cover is worn and loose. Cannot 100% confirm if water tight but tried briefly and does not appear to leak.

A carved sardonyx cameo brooch, depicting the bust of a classical female amongst roses, in a 9 carat gold rope frame, measures 3cm by 4cmThe brooch is in good condition. It is hallmarked with sponsor's mark 'CG&S', Birmingham, 1987. It fastens with a pin and safety catch with a safety chain. Gross weight 13.6 grams. Condition Report made 20th September 2017.

A manuscript dedication on the front paste-down reads : " To Ray "The Mole" Bradbury from Pietri Kanescovitch Moskow 1987 Eingant sa Kolsov!". See note under 'Condition Report' CONDITION REPORT: *This inscription, believed to be by R.B.'s Soviet literary agent, jokingly harks back to the execution, in 1940, as a spy of Mikhail Koltsov (Stalin's Spanish Civil War special envoy); ostensibly prompted by 'Spycatchers' revelation about the bug planted in the U.S. ambassador's Moscow office (1940/50's) over a seven year period (the bug designed by Leon Theremin- of musical instrument fame)The book - Vg/Vg. Copy of notes available on request.The vendor has conducted some research on this and a copy of the resulting notes are placed with the book - the Auction House remains neutral about their significance.
Tallis, John : British America, C. 1850. The area mapped covers all of today`s Canada and Alaska, identified here as Russian America. At least 23 Canadian Districts are outlined. The map is enhanced by hand-coloured vignettes featuring, Esquimaux, Parry's Arctic Expedition, Polar Bears, Whaling & Montreal. The illustrations are by H. Warren and engraved by Robert Wallis; the map is drawn and engraved by J. Rapkin. Together with a similarly illustrated map of East Canada & New Brunswick. Both maps professionally mounted.
