A large gilt brass quarter striking carriage clock, London circa 1850, the foliate engraved dial signed Charles Frodsham, 115 New Bond Street, London No. 2070, strike/silent lever at XII, the five-pillar two-train fusee quarter striking on two gongs, similarly signed backplate, the case with foliate cast side frets, canted scroll corners and bun feet, 28.5cm high Condition Report: The clock photo is more squat than the clock actually is. Provenance: London saleroom in 1980's. This clock has been in a private collection for many years and has been well maintained. The foliate spandrels at the sides have later material, the clock is in very good condition. No key with the clock but easily opened with a standard key.

Jennings on patrol off this famous coastline. Painted by Hardy. Note: Bernard James Jennings was born in Luton on 21st March 1915 and joined the RAF as an Aircrafthand on 1st May 1933. After training he was posted to the Parachute Flight, Hendon and was standby member of the Parachute Pull-Off team for the Air Display in 1934, which involved standing on the wingtip of a Vickers Virginia. In 1934 Jennings went to Farnborough for a photographic course and in 1935 was posted to 33 Squadron at Upper Heyford as a photographer/air gunner. The squadron went to the Middle East in October 1935. Having applied for pilot training in late 1937 remustered as an Airman u/t Pilot on 6th December 1937. He did his initial training at 11 E&RFTS Perth. In March 1938 he was posted to 10 FTS Tern Hill and in November went as a staff pilot to the Signals Squadron at RAF Cranwell. On 4th September 1939 Jennings joined 19 Squadron at Duxford. Over Dunkirk on 27th May 1940 he shared in a probable Do17 and on 1st June destroyed two Me110's and damaged a Do215 on a later patrol. He claimed a Me110 destroyed and a He111 probably destroyed on 11th September and a Me109 destroyed on the 29th. He was awarded the DFM (gazetted 4th April 1941). Dimensions in frame; 690mm x 515mm. Britains Soldiers. Scots Guards - marching at the slope with Officer and Piper, from Set No.75. c.1897 to 1905 - 6 guards oval based with valise packs - 5 bayonnets missing. Bemedalled fixed arm, round based officer and round based piper. All have age wear and a few paint patches missing. Overall for age GC. Plus a 1930's Band of the Royal Marines from Set No.1291 12 figures including band master and bass drummer. VGC. £70-100
Britains Middlesex Yeomanry from Set No.83. c.1930's - London based part-time volunteers - The 1st. County of London (Middlesex, the Duke of Cambridge's Hussars) 4 troopers on cantering horses casting date 12.2.1903 with long carbines and officer on rearing horse with straight sword arm. All Hussar Busby plumes intact. (Opie Grt. Book of Britains P247). Troopers - some paint errors and small patches - patch on officer's horse's right shoulder otherwise GC. Non - Britains Box with repro label. £100-150

Complete set of originals given to Regtl Museum Warwick”. Note: Col Barklie Cairns McCalmont served in S African War 1902, acted as Administrator No 9 Martial Law Area 12-27th Feb 1902. In command 5th Bttn R Warwick Regt 6th Jan to 31st May 1902. During the Great War he raised and commanded the 10th Service Bttn R Warwicks Regt. Died 30th April 1929. A Third Reich motoring award, in the form of a bronzed motor tyre embossed with oak leaves and “O-N-S” at the top “NSKK-DDAC”at the bottom and in the centre “1934” over swastika, gilt eagle’s head, “2000km Durch Deutschland”, and various landmarks, on marbled black stone base, 6” x 6”, in its silk lined fitted case. An English steel barrelled flintlock blunderbuss, c 1780; 34½” overall, heavy swamped barrel 18¾” with London and maker’s proofs; the original lock from a mid 18th century Prussian musket, with flat bevelled plate engraved “Potzdammagaz” and “S&S”; walnut fullstock with brass mounts including engraved trigger guard and wavy sideplate. GWO & generally GC (barrel moderately pitted, some deep pitting to lock, some old worm to butt). Plate 9
