A collection of children's and illustrated books including: The Adventures of Timothy Dump and his Dog Toby. S. Marks and Sons, [n.d. but c.1870]. 12mo, org. green pictorial wrappers, lower wrapper with poem entitled ''The Cow'' printed on it; pp. 8 each with woodcut illustration, hand-coloured on p.1, Dump's red coat coloured thereafter. S. Marks and Sons imprint was used between 1859 and 1900 (Brown's London Publishers c.1800-1870, p.123). There appears to have been an earlier printing of this rare work by J.L. Marks (c.1840).
