1970's coffee table, the base modelled as a hand, oval glass top, 115x65cm, height 38cm.Condition report:The base is a painted composite material. No evident cracks or splits. Other than a bit of discolouring/ yellowing, it is is good order. The glass is mostly ok, minor chipping to the edges and the odd noticeable surface scratch that catches with a fingernail. It does have a bevelled edge.
WW2 medals - a group of four to Lieutenant Commander Peter Derek Handscomb, The 1939-1945 Star, The Burma Star with Pacific clasp, The War Medal, The Defence Medal; Naval General Service Medal with Malaya and S E Asia clasps, all with ribbons; Korea Medal, with ribbon; United Nations Service Medal (Korea), with ribbon; 5th Army Commemorative Medal of the Entrance of the Allies in Naples 1st October 1943; three WW2 photograph albums and some loose photographs, to include aerial photographs of Egypt, Ceylon, China, naval vessels, fighter planes in flight, Japanese surrender; and a signed letter from USAF Major Spencer Finney. Lieutenant Commander Handscomb was in the Fleet Air Arm from 1942 and spent some time as aide to Earl Mountbatten.

A multicolour sapphire and ruby long chain necklace,spectacle set along the whole length with oval cut rubies and blue, green, yellow, white and pink sapphires, chain connections and 'S' hook clasp. Tested as approximately 14ct white gold and clasp has cartouche stamped '585'. Length 910mm, 74.1gCondition ReportOne purple spinel found; the remainder all corundum. Many of the stones are roughly proportioned in cut, are included or have some surface abrasion, but the overall effect is of bright stones with good lustre. Settings and chain are delicate but appear sound.The necklace is long enough to wear twice round the neck.

A late 18th century Iberian diamond jewel,designed as a quatrefoil of table cut diamonds with further highlights, and an articulated suspension of flared lines of small mainly rose cut diamonds leading down to a flowerhead with rose cut centre and table cut petals, all in domed rub over and closed back settings with some engraved detailing to the back; later brooch fitting with safety catch. Brooch tested as 18ct gold, later fittings as 14ct gold. Presented in a fitted leather case by S J Phillips Ltd. Length 65mm, 16.92gCondition ReportIt is possible that this piece was originally an earring.The diamonds are bright with good reflective power; many have loupe visible inclusions, chips or facet edge abrasion, indicating a long, perhaps chequered, history. There are signs of repair and alteration to the back and some solder on the back of the flowerhead.The fitted case from SJ Phillips is highly prestigious.
