A George II shaped-oval meat dish with a gadrooned border and later engraved crests, London 1732 by Paul Crespin, 37cm wide (14.5 in), 916g (29.5 oz) The crest is for George F S Robinson, born 1827 and sometime MP for Hull, who succeeded his father in January 1859 as Earl of Ripon, appointed Under Secretary of State for War June 1859, and succeeded his uncle in November 1859 as Earl de Grey.
