A WORKSPLATE "The Baldwin Locomotive Works 71325 Phila. USA.Feb - 1945". As carried by a USA Transportation Corps 5' gauge 2-10-0 No.5624 supplied to the USSR State Railway as Class YE-A No.2925. Most of the class were withdrawn in the 1960's but a large number remained in strategic storage into the 1980's, mainly in Siberia. A few survive. A rectangular cast-iron plate with a triangular top including the Company logo. Overall 141/2"x9", in ex-loco condition.
A TOTEM "WADSLEY BRIDGE". BR(E) dark blue, half-flanged. Some edge chip repairs and slightly lacking shine, but a rare totem (only 3 have been sold in auction, the last in 1997). From the ex GCR station, on the Sheffield Victoria to Penistone line, opened in 1845 and closed in 1959 although trains disembarked supporters there for Sheffield Wednesday football matches right into the 1980's (at a time when they had supporters!). Sadly even that facility ended before Myers Grove Auctions started, as it was the nearest station.
A GWR china sugar bowl and cream jug in the black leaf design. Both items clearly display the black 1930's "GWR Hotels" roundel device on the side. The cream jug, dated 1938, is 23/4" tall and mint; the sugar bowl 3" diameter, 11/2" tall; a very minor stain inside the base.

A LATE 19TH CENTURY BRACKET CLOCK, of eight-day German movement, chiming on a gong, the arched dial with silvered chapter ring, matted centre with a seconds dial and strike/silent dial in the arch and mask spandrels, signed S. Lyon, Preston, the movement stamped W & H to the back plate, the ebonised case with a pagoda top mounted with urn finial, the arched door flanked by mask and foliate capitols, on claw feet, 29in. (73.5cms) high
A PILKINGTON'S LUSTRE WARE BOWL, by William S. Mycock, of shallow circular form, painted in silver lustre, red and olive green on a blue-green ground, with Arabesque foliate scroll work centred by an eight-petalled flower head, painted monogram and date cypher, anchor mark, circa 1910 11in. (28cms)

A collection of 18th and 19th century German knives forks and a spoon, to include: a horn handled knife and fork inscribed 'S Matthaus' and 'S Bartholome', the knife blade 'Matthaus Angermiller', a similar two pronged fork, another possibly 17th century with brass and mother of pearl inlaid handle, a Wragg's patent knife and fork made by Priest of Oxford Street and a folding knife and fork with steel piqué tortoiseshell handles (10)
Two early 20th century ivory elephant tusks of undecorated form, 110cm long (2). These have come by descent to the vendor from a relation who died in 1936. The relation was a governor of Gambia and chief commissioner to the Ashanti until he retired in 1935. There is a 1930's photograph of the relation with the tusks
