British Religious Medal, white metal c.39mm. obverse:- Draped female figure holding long cross, British flora and caduceus at left, plinth inscribed with Wellington`s victories at right, beneath THANKSGIVING, JAN. 13, 1814, reverse:- LET US GIVE GLORY UNTO THE LORD AND DECLARE HIS PRAISE IN THE ISLANDS, within sheaf and cornucopia. Rare Casualty group to Lieut Douglas Watson 6th & 8th Bn`s Royal Highlanders, later Black Watch, Killed 26/4/1941. Medals - BWM & Victory Medal, GVI Special Constabulary Medal, Defence Medal plus original Casualty Scroll named to Constable D Watson, Norfolk Special Constabulary. Born Aislaby, Nr Whitby, lived Arlington House, Arlington Lane, Norwich. On the 26th April 1941 he was in the Ferry Inn at Horning, Norfolk, when it received a direct hit from a lone German Bomber, 22/3 people were Killed, and 8 injured while they were drinking at the bar, 3 of the killed were RAF pilots from RAF Coltishall. Watson at the time lived at The Croft, Horning and is buried at Smallburgh. GVF-EF (4)
RNAS WW1 BWM with MID Oak leaf, F13026 T.W.Feasey P.O.M R.N.A.S who was Mentioned in Despatches 1st May 1918 and possibly again 10 July 1920, one of the first MID"s of the newly formed RAF. He served President II and Battersea from April 1916 and was a Draughtsman from Edmonton, Middlesex. unusual double MID ? NEF
Sallabanks family medals - 1) 1915 Star Trio to 17441 Pte Harry Sallabanks 8th Bedford Regt Killed In Action 20/4/1916, listed on the Ypres Memorial, born Ramsey Hollow, Hunts. Group 2) BWM & Victory Medal to 132324 Pte Charles Sallabanks MGC (Infantry) Killed 8th June 1918, buried Fere-Champenoise French National Cemetery. Both groups come with original paperwork and Charles`s group includes letters about his death. EF (5)
Suffolk Regt WW2 Military Medal group to 5932398 Pte Leslie Arthur Jaggard Suffolk Regt (5932398 C/Sjt L Jaggard MM Suffolk). Medals - MM GVI, India General Service Medal with NWF 1937-39 clasp, GSM with Palestine 1945-48 clasp, 1939-45 Star, Burma Star, France & Germany Star, Defence & War Medals, mounted as worn. Mr Jaggard was born at Newmarket in 1916, joining the Suffolks in the 1930`s, served with the 1st Bn in India, and landed with them on D-Day as Company Runner. `He acquitted himself with Valour in Nov 1944 when his Company was attacking the Castle of Geijsteren in Holland alongside the flooded Maas River (suffering 2 killed and 10 wounded). In this action he won the Military Medal which was personally presented by Field Marshall Montgomery. Promotion followed and he became Colour Sergeant Jaggard of D Company in Egypt and Palestine. A superb and unusual group Jaggard died at Leiston Old Abbey Retirement Home aged 92. Lot also includes Original Buckingham Palace Letter. (8) GVF

Herdman, (Stanley), a framed Watercolour probably another version of ''The Old Mill, London Road'' (See previous Lot) depicting a windmill, nearby Miller's Cottage, figures seated on a log by the roadside with horse-drawn traffic making their way along the London Road, interesting details include washing on a clothes line, a corn rick, a dove-cot and a village with a church on a hill-top in the distance. Signed lower left. 11 1/8'' x 21'' approx.
