Joslin, Princess Patricia`s Canadian Light Infantry, to include the Military Medal, the 1914-15 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal, together with regimental cap badge and other badges. (Qty) The PPCLI was raised on the initiative of Captain Andrew Hamilton Gault in August 1914, to participate in the Canadian war effort for the First World War. It was the first Canadian infantry unit to enter the theatre of operations, arriving in France in December 1914. Private Joslin enlisted in August 1914 as one of the original enlisted soldiers and after being wounded in October 1916, he was later that month awarded the Military Medal with the following citation - `As a stretcher bearer this man has always shown the greatest courage and coolness both in dressing cases under heavy fire on several occasions and caring for them`.
