A near pair of 20th century Herend porcelain white cockerels, heightened with red wattle and comb, nr 5014/2, approx 24 cms, blue factory marks to base.  Property of a gentleman.  -

A part set of Herend Rothschild Bird dining service, comprising twelve 10" dining plates, twelve 9" plates, twelve 7" side plates and twelve 9 1/2" soup bowls, large oval meat plate (af) complete with two sauce boats 24 x 17 cms with stands. This lot concludes with a shallow cachepot 20 x 10 cms and a taller example 18 cms h together with a small jardinière, 9.5 cms h x 11.2 cms diameter. The part Herend Rose tea service comprising five 6" cake plates, milk jug, sugar bowl and cover, two cups and saucers together with four more saucers. Condition ReportLarge oval meat plate has a small chip to the rim. The dining plates are in good condition however there are three with a very slight knife scratch to the central reserve.  The gilding has rubbed slightly on one of the sauce boats, one large saucer has 1" chip to the rim across into the gilding. Shallow cachepot has a small bruise to the gilding on the foot.  Sugar cover has minor loss to the finial rose petal finial. There are one or two stapled plates included in the group but have not been mentioned in the description.
