DOOLITTLE RAIDERS: A good First Day Cover issued to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the First Operational use of the Mitchell by the Royal Air Force and featuring a colour illustration of Doolittle’s aircraft flying over Tokyo harbour in April 1942, individually signed by James Doolittle and fourteen other crew members who participated in the Doolittle Raid comprising Richard Cole (co-pilot), Henry Potter (navigator), Charles Ozuk (navigator), Harry McCool (navigator), David Jones (pilot), Chase Nielsen (navigator), David Thatcher (flight engineer/gunner), Nolan Herndon (navigator/bombardier), J. Royden Stork (co-pilot), William Birch (bombardier), William Bower (pilot), Clayton Campbell (navigator), Robert Hite (co-pilot) and Jacob De Shazer (bombardier). All have signed in various coloured inks, largely to clear areas. Together with a paperback edition of Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo by Ted Lawson, published by Infantry Journal, Penguin Books, second printing, April 1944, signed by David Thatcher (flight engineer/gunner and Lawson’s fellow crew member on the seventh B-25 Mitchell bomber to fly in the Doolittle Raid) in blue ink to the title page, and also including a paperback edition of Destination: Tokyo – A Pictorial History of Doolittle’s Tokyo Raid by Stan Cohen, published by the Pictorial Histories Publishing Company, Missoula, Montana, eighth printing, October 1998, signed and inscribed by Chase Nielsen to the half title page and also featuring eleven individually signed white stickers by various crew members who also participated in the Doolittle Raid, each neatly laid down to the half title page, comprising Charles Ozuk, Nolan Herndon, Robert Hite, Harry McCool, J.
