Malaya & British Borneo, Board of Commissioners of Currency 1 Dollar unissued PROOF, designed by Harrison & Sons Ltd, London, without signature or serial number, blue and yellow, portrait of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tunku Abdul Rahman at right, a design that was not adopted but is very similar to the actual issued note which was printed by Waterlow & Sons dated 1953, with the reverse being almost identical and the obverse very similar, the biggest difference being the Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the issued note, (Pick1 for type), this note has come from a group of Waterlow & Sons and Harrison & Sons material from Stanley Douglas Scott who worked as an engraver at both companies, as far as we know there are only 2 other examples ever seen, so this is now only the 3rd example known, EF+

It has a fictional date of 52th Date 1963 and a sample signature and serial number, serial Y/8 822984 (TBB B100p1, PickA1) Uncirculated, extremely rare and a spectacular example without cancellation holes or perforations, very few examples ever seen, this note has come from a group of Waterlow & Sons and Harrison & Sons material from Stanley Douglas Scott who worked as an engraver at both companies.

Patti Boyd signed 10x8 colour photograph. Boyd born 17 March 1944 is an English model and photographer. She was one of the leading international models during the 1960s and, with Jean Shrimpton, epitomised the British female look of the era. Boyd married George Harrison in 1966 and experienced the height of the Beatles' popularity as well as sharing in their embrace of Indian spirituality. She divorced Harrison in 1977 and married Harrison's friend Eric Clapton in 1979; they divorced in 1989. Boyd inspired Harrison's songs If I Needed Someone, Something and For You Blue, and Clapton's songs Layla, Bell Bottom Blues and Wonderful Tonight. Good condition. Early steam engine.- Worcester (Edward Somerset, 2nd Marquis) A Century of the Names and Scantlings of such Inventions, as at present I can call to mind to have tried and perfected, first edition, with the rare 34-page supplement, lacking blanks Al, D12 and E6, some light foxing, a few ff. closely trimmed to borders, later calf, possibly a rembotage, rebacked, retaining much of original backstrip, [Bibliotheca Mechanica p.360; Norman 1976; Tomash & Williams S162; Wing W3532 & W3532A], 12mo, by J. Grismond, 1663.⁂ The Horblit copy of this charming catalogue of 100 inventions that the author claims to have originated. These include "How to make a man fly; which I have tried with a little Boy of ten years old in a Barn", "An artificial Horse" and "A portable Fortification able to contain five hundred fighting men". The supplement goes into greater detail about the "Water-commanding Engine" which appears to be a prototype of a very early steam engine.Provenance: Harrison D. Horblit (1912-1988, book label to pastedown).
