A GLASS PRESERVE DISH ON EPNS STAND. the former, in clear glass, of ogee form with four-lobed rim, the finely ribbed exterior having a medial vermicular band over four applied lemon glass 'peacock feathers' with turquoise 'cabochon' centres, the circular stand having a crimped rim and rope-twist handle on four feet, stamped beneath 'JT & Co/S/EPNS/1094', the dish 13.5cm, diameter.
An Exhibition Quality Elkington & Co Champleve Enamel and Chryselephantine Inkstand, the central vase receptacle with hinged cover and ovoid finial revealing a cut glass inkwell and funnel, supported by two bejewelled Indian elephant heads with ivory tusks, supporting taperstick sconces in their upturned trunks, upon an integral shallow shaped circular dish with eight equally spaced ogivel arched motifs, decorated overall with Indo-Persian floral motifs, applied with oval tablet to the rim underside, stamped "948 published by Elkington & Co", and engraved on the pedestal foot rim 1870.30 - 4, (19.5cm high, 27.5cm wide}.
