Mardon, Son & Hall - Cigarette Cards - Dominoes (Ogden's Cigarettes c1909) - a full set of original proof cards from Mardon, Son & Hall. Spread across three large sheets. Each card displayed forwards, laid to the page. Publication and printing details noted to the first page. The set used was likely the earliest off the line, used for final checking before mass printing. Each page measures 42cm x 29cm.
Edwardian mahogany games compendium, the lid with two folding boards for Go-Bang, Steeplechase, backgammon and chess, six lead racehorses, dice and shaker, counters, marbles, two whist and two bezique counters, solitaire board, bone and ebony dominoes, chess set and backgammon stones, the box 34cm, and a seperate canvas backed rolling travel chess board.Qty: 2Condition report:The two whits rooks in the chess set have been chipped along the top of the pieces. One of the black draughts pieces has been damaged, with others showing wear to the paint. The whist and bezique counters have worn and discoloured, and the backgammon board has began to peel. The case has a chip to the wood next to the hinge, and the additional chess board has warped in storage and does not unfold flat.Additional photos have been added.

An early 20th century lacquered and painted games compendium - probably French, the square black lacquered box with painted decoration of various gaming pieces to the lid, the contrasting birch interior containing bone and ebony dominoes, a boxwood dice shaker with bone dice, boxwood and ebony draughts (some missing) and a folding travelling chess board, containing a red and white turned bone chess set, the box 21.5 x 21.5 x 6.25 cm; 2. a folding inlaid wooden cribbage board; 3. a modern miniature folding cribbage board and a pack of cards.

There is a race track on one side of the board. The board is lacking small tooled pieces to areas and is worn/used commensurate with age.
