A First World War Death Plaque to Corporal George Hamilton Leppard [112009], 236th Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. Killed in action in France on 13th April 1918. Sold together with Imperial War Graves Commission Memorial Registration leaflet. Cpl Leppard attested on 6th December 1915 and was approved on 10th August 1916. He qualified as a plotter/observer. He was entitled to the British War Medal and Victory Medal and is commemorated at the Tyne Cot Memorial Passchendaele, Arrondissement Ieper, West Flanders, Belgium. Son of Thomas Lambert Leppard and Rhoda Leppard, of 30, St. James's Place, Plumstead, London.

R.); Memorial Plaque (Joseph Edward Starkes) mounted on a wooden mount, the plaque polished, otherwise very fine Pair: Private A. G. Stroud, Gloucestershire Regiment British War and Victory Medals (14980 Pte. A. G. Stroud. Glouc. R.) very fine (9) £120-£160 --- Albert Edwin Jones, a miner originally from Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, attested into the Gloucestershire Regiment, at Tonypandy, South Wales, for service during the Great War. He served on the Western Front with the 2nd Battalion from 27 May 1915 and later served in Salonika where he contracted malaria and subsequently died on 11 October 1918. He is buried in Kirechkoi-Hortakoi Military Cemetery, Greece. Joseph Edward Starks was born in Loxton, Somerset, in 1897. He attested into the Gloucestershire Regiment in 1914 and served during the Great War on the Western Front with the 1/4th Battalion from 21 November 1915. He was killed in action on 9 October 1917 and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium. Alfred G. Stroud, a plumber from Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, was born in 1894. He attested attested into the Gloucestershire Regiment in September 1914 for service during the Great War and served on the Western Front with the 12th Battalion from 21 November 1915. He received a gun shot wound and shrapnel wound to his neck in September 1916, and was transferred into the Labour Corps, where in December 1917, he was discharged as being no longer being physically fit. He later died in 1963. Sold with copied research.

Highrs.); Memorial Plaque (John Crombie) traces of adhesive to reverse of plaque, nearly extremely fine (3) £80-£100 --- John Crombie was born in Kirkcaldy, Fife, and attested there for the Royal Highlanders. He served with the 8th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 1916, and was killed in action on 12 October 1917. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium. Sold with named Record Office enclosure for the campaign medals.

C.) all in crushed named card boxes of issue; Memorial Plaque (Harry Jenkins) nearly extremely fine (4) £180-£220 --- Harry Jenkins was born in Birmingham in 1898 and attested for the King's Royal Rifle Corps in Winchester on 30 August 1914. He served with the 13th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 30 July 1915, and received a gun shot wound to the head on 12 April 1917. He transferred to the 21st (Yeoman Rifles) Battalion on 13 August 1917, and was killed in action on 20 September 1917, the First Day of the Battle of Menin Road, part of the Third Battle of Ypres. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.

A 19th century Victorian mahogany cot / child's crib / daybed / bench. Constructed with turned column gallery throughout and raised on shaped supports. Comes with the addition of a later cushion to base in a light grey print with four mustard coloured tassels, one to each corner. Measures approximately 85cm H x 128cm W x 64cm D.
