Freedman (Barnett) [Six rough proof lithographs for Shakespeare's Henry IV Part I], 6 colour lithographs, no text, bound in original cloth-backed boards, with manuscript paper label inscribed "...for Fred Phillips from Barnett Freedman 1939" on upper cover, patterned-paper endpapers, rubbed at edges, transparent wrapper torn, folio, Limited Editions Club, 1939.⁂ Fred Phillips was owner of the Baynard Press for which Barnett Freedman did a great deal of work, mostly lithographed titles and illustrations but he also designed 'Baynard Claudia', an alphabet of decorated initial letters. These lithographs were produced for the complete works of Shakespeare issued by the Limited Editions Club from 1939 to 1940 in 39 volumes, designed by Bruce Rogers with a different illustrator for each volume.

Muhammad Ali (1942-2016) American Boxer, World Heavyweight Champion, a signed Bailey's of Glastonbury boxing glove.This was one of a pair of boxing gloves donated by Muhammad Ali to the Stoke-on-Trent South Rotary Club in November, 1983 for auction. Affixed to the glove is a piece of tape which is signed and inscribed, 'Muhammad Ali, Three times world champion, greatest of all time... August, 12-19-82, Love Always', mounted on green plinth, overall height 42cm high, complete with original newspaper clipping detailing the donation and sale.
SIM ALASTAIR: (1900-1976) Scottish Character Actor. Vintage signed postcard photograph of Sim in a head and shoulders pose. Signed in dark fountain pen ink with his name alone across a light area of the image. Together with a pencil signature ('Best wishes Alastair Sim') to the verso of a printed oblong 12mo visiting card bearing the printed names and address of Mrs & Miss Wyvel-Thompson (slight traces of former mounting to the recto). Also including an unsigned form typed statement, one page, 8vo, The Garrick Club, London, n.d., in the third person, stating that Sim is grateful for the recipient's appreciative letter 'but regrets that he cannot comply with requests for autographs….' and explaining 'He has adhered to this rule for a great many years, and trusts you will understand that he cannot make exceptions'.
