Farlow and Co, Ltd, Charles Street, St James, London black japanned fly tyer’s cabinet, measuring 8 ½” x 5” x 5”, hinged lid with slide locking bar, 2x light alloy lift out trays containing a selection of tinsel, threads, feathers and tools, plus an early fly tying vice with brass table clamp, steel adjustable jaws, a time warp collection.
The Titanium case measures 46.5mm plus the crown protection clamp and the case has a screw back and rotating bezel. The dial is black with luminous dot numerals and date at three o'clock with sub-seconds at nine o'clock. The movement is a P1000 Calibre automatic. F. Stanley & Co', dated '29-8-31', and another label of the owners who used this equipment 'Gary, Porter, Ltd', together with three other surveyors levels, one stamped 'E. R. Watts & son, No 14866', another stamped 'Reynolds, Birminghams', the last stamped 'Hilger & Watts Ltd', all in wooden fitted cases(5)
