19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Lady in choker", miniature portrait study, head and shoulders, oval, oil on ivory, unsigned, 9 cm x 7 cm CONDITION REPORTS Picture appears to have some "chipping" to the outer edges where it has been under the frame and particularly to the lower left side just under frame, some slight flaking/"dotting" to the paintwork throughout, otherwise however picture appears sound and colours strong. Frame has knocks, bumps and some surface scratching throughout, lower left corner there is a 0.5 x 0.5 cm chip, and further in on lower edge there is a small pinhead size chip, right-hand side has a small pinhead size hole along the outer edge, knocks and bumps to corners.

Has 14k white gold diamond clasp that can be removed to be used as a pin. Clasp holds 50 round cut diamonds approx. 0.75ctw. Marked 14K to clasp. Necklace measures 15 3/8" length (39cm). Total weight of 28.3dwt.
Jamie Hewlett, British b.1968- "Chicken Choker"; pencil, 30.5x21cm, (may be subject to Droit de Suite) Provenance: Hewlett is a comic book artist and designer, he is best known for being the co-creator of the comic Tank Girl and the band Gorillaz with Damon Albarn. This drawing was original donated by the artist for a charity auction.
1932/34 Ashes Bodyline cricket cartoon – hand drawn colour cartoon - titled "Ashes – Presentation" signed Stick (?) Showing 3x members of the MCC kowtowing before handing over the Ashes to Australian Kangaroo wearing a neck choker marked "Wimbledon Throat" and belt marked "Body Line" c/w "Oval" doors in the back ground – f&g overall 13 x 10.5". Note: Wimbledon Throat was reported in Sydney Morning Herald 9/7/34 as a painful malady that caught several Australian cricketers at critical moment in the Test – believed to have been caught on a visit to Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
