A GILT-BRASS REPEATING CARRIAGE CLOCK, c. 1890, the case with fluted carrying handle and with bowed bevelled glass ends enclosing a white enamel dial with Roman numerals and Arabic numerals outer dial within an engine turned gilt panel, with twin barrel movement and platform lever escapement striking on a gong, with key. Height excluding handle 14cmAppears to be in working order but we can't warrant this. The enamel dial and case in good condition. Generally, a very good clock which is ready to use.

Late 19th Century Marquis of Ailsa Blue Wool Carriage Driving Lap Robe, with cream wool edging and cream appliqué trellis style trim to the edges, with flowers running through and each hand stitched with a couple of stitches of green silk to each flower head, it is worn by wrapping the rug around the driver, the leather buckles are fastened, the decorative pocket at the front is to hold their gloves and the quilted silk pocket to the inside to keep their feet warm, it is embroidered with his monogram and coronet in cream and blue silk to the inside, 230cm by 133cm The Marquis of Ailsa, lived at Culzean Castle, on the Isle of Ailsa near Ayr, Scotland

Please see our Conditions of Sale for Buyers, item 12(2) for additional information on the purchase of clocks, timepieces and mechanical instruments.] NO WINDER the dials and mask are in good condition as are the top and front glass panels the clock is currently running but the repeat/chime is not; this probably means a broken or slipping spring drive or other fault that will require professional attention the case is in good order although there is some wear to the lacquer; the handle is loose and will not stay upright on its own the L side enamel panel is in good order with no cracks, scratches or blemishes, one small nick to the bottom edge; the R side panel has taken a bash to the centre with significant loss to the panel, mainly the figure seated on the chair, we have some parts the backplate stamped 2360; enclosed by a removable brass back cover
