Pagine [56], 792, [78]. Antiporta incisa su rame con ritratto e armi di Filippo IV, capilettera e fregi xilografici. Gora all'angolo superiore destro dei primi tre fascicoli, altra gora lungo margine interno ai fascicoli Vv-Bbb, lavori di tarlo alla sguardia anteriore e all'antiporta. Legatura coeva in pergamena, titoli manoscritti al dorso, angoli usurati e con piccole mende, gora al piatto anteriore, lavori di tarlo lungo le cerniere interne.     Edizione originale di questa fondamentale summa fiscale composta per codificare spese, esenzioni e tassazioni necessarie - tre le altre necessità - anche al mantenimento delle truppe nella Milano spagnola. Discendente di una famiglia patrizia milanese, l'Autore fu storico ed economista e alcune delle sue notizie sulle Spese di peste sono citate da Alessandro Manzoni ne I Promessi Sposi. Interessante anche per la veduta della città meneghina è l'antipoprta calcografica realizzata da Federico Agnelli, capostipite dell'omonima famiglia di notabili incisori milanesi, su disegno del pittore di Konstanz Johann Christoph Storer, attivo a Milano negli anni '40 e '50 del Seicento. Piantanida II,1093 "Non si conoscono altre edizioni di quest'opera notevole e sconosciuta alle principali bibliografie.
