The case signed 'Marius LeCoultre Rue Bonivard 8 Geneve' numbered 3244, 49mm, 103.6gMarius LeCoultre, a watchmaker and retailer located in Geneva, founded his own company in 1848. He specialized in unusual and high quality watches, developed a retrograde date system and was awarded an honourable mention during the Geneva Chronometer Contest in 1887. At the Chicago Universal Exhibition in 1893 he exhibited complicated and precision timepieces.
