A George III silver teapot, by John Edwards, London 1802, cape form, the scroll handle terminating in two snake heads, flush hinged domed cover, gadroon border, on a circular foot, engraved with an armorial, length handle to spout 25.5cm, approx. weight 25oz. The arms are those of Richard Nugent-Temple-Grenville, 1st Earl of Stowe, with the arms of Brydges in pretence for his 1796 marriage to Anna Eliza, sole heir of James Brydges, last Duke of Chandos.
