A George III neo-classical table centrepiece, in the form of an oval basket or dish, on four ball feet with twin cast rams mask and drop ring handles, the waisted sides pierced above a frieze of applied foliate motifs and a chased band of stiff leaves, with a vacant cartouche on either side and an engraved coat of arms in the centre of the dish, cranberry glass liner, by Joseph Scammel, London 1795, 13.3in (33.7cm) 45oz.
