A late George III mahogany and ebony strung secretaire bookcase, circa 1820, the concave cornice and plain frieze above two rectangular doors with reeded arched astragal glazed moulding, opening to reveal three adjustable shelves, the secretaire drawer with stained harewood and satinwood pigeon holes and short drawers centring a cupboard door above three graduated cockbeaded drawers, with cast laurel and oval trophy handles and a shaped apron on inverted bracket ogee feet, height 230cm x width 102cm x depth 56cm, 90.5 inches x 40 inches x 22 inches.
