Smaller items, that are non fragile can be posted in house at a small fee on top of the postage cost, please ask prior to bidding on any items. Please be aware we are not a professional packing company and take no responsibility for any damage or loss during transit.
Alternaitvely Deliveries can be arranged by approved carriers, at the best available rates.
If items are being collected by a courier no packing or boxing will be initiated. It is your/the couriers responsibility to pack and ship the item/s involved. When booking couriers online, please be aware and take this into account.
Important Information
This is a timed sale, bidding is only through the-saleroom.com or by contacting Wilkinsons Auctioneers ltd with a lot of prior notice to make alternative arrangements.
Each lot will end 30 seconds after the previous lot, ending at 10am on Thursday 13th March, so lot 1 will end at 10:00:00, lot 2 at 10:00:30, lot 3 10:01:00. until the sale is closed.
All bids should be made through the-saleroom.com website and will be subject to online fee's of 5% as well as the 22.5% auction commission both subject to VAT.
The highest bidder once each lot closes is the winning bidder, and will be expected to pay the associated invoice once received.
Items are available for viewing prior to the sale on the 6th and 7th March as with the live auction items.
Postage is available for smaller, non fragile, items please ask prior to bidding. Couriers or in person collection is available, but items are required to be collected as soon as possible once the sale is over.

Buyer's Premium
A buyer's premium is payable of 22.5% of the hammer price of each lot purchased
(VAT at the appropriate rate is charged on the premium)
Please Note Lots purchased online with ATG media will attract an additional charge for this service in the sum of 5% of the hammer price plus VAT at the rate imposed
In completing the bidder registration on www.the-saleroom.com and providing your credit card details and unless alternative arrangements are agreed with Wilkinson's Auctioneers Ltd. you
(i) authorise Wilkinson's Auctioneers Ltd., if they so wish, to charge the credit card given in part or full payment, including all fees, for items successfully purchased in the sale via the-saleroom.com, and
(ii) confirm that you are authorised to provide these credit card details to Wilkinson's Auctioneers Ltd. through www.the-saleroom.com and agree that Wilkinson's Auctioneers Ltd. are entitled to ship the goods to the card holder name and cardholder address provided in fulfilment of the sale.
V.A.T.
Unless indicated, no VAT will be payable on the hammer price and the premium will be shown inclusive of VAT.
(The VAT inclusive with the premium is not normally recoverable by the buyer.)
However, occasionally VAT is charged on the hammer price at the appropriate rate. In these cases the lots will be indicated in the catalogue and announced by the auctioneer.
Bidding
Buyers must register before the sale at the office for a bidding number. The highest bidder is the buyer. In the event of a dispute, the auctioneer will determine the buyer. All lots become the responsibility of the buyer at the fall of the hammer. All lots should be paid for within seven days of the sale.
Methods of Payment
Paying by cash.
Cash payments can be made at the office after a sale/upon collection.
Paying by Debit or Credit Cards.
Payments can be made by Switch, MasterCard and Visa Cards. (There is no surcharge, however some cards are not accepted, please check within the office).
Condition Reports
For lots over £100 as an estimate Wilkinson's are pleased to give verbal condition reports, which are meant as a guide only. Buyers are reminded that they should view before the sale to satisfy themselves as to the condition, any restoration, damage, origin, date, age, authorship, attribution and provenance. For lots below this amount condition reports are not available, please be aware that lots containing A/F indicate at least one of the items is "as found" and has some current damage or previous damage/repair.
Any statement made by the Auctioneer before accepting any bids shall be deemed to supersede any conditions, notices, descriptions and statements made in the catalogue or elsewhere.
Wilkinson's endeavour to catalogue all lots correctly, however should any lot prove to be a deliberate forgery, the auctioneers upon receipt of a written notice of such within seven days of the sale, shall rescind the sale, provided that the lot is returned within fourteen days of the sale in the same condition as at the time of sale. The benefit of this guarantee shall not be assignable. By making a bid, each buyer conditions, the damages recoverable by the vendor or the auctioneers from the defaulters shall include any loss incurred on sale, together with commission and expenses in respect of both sales.
Electrical Goods
It is essential that lots which were originally operated by mains electricity be checked by a qualified electrician before use. They may not comply with the current statutory requirements and as such are offered for solely for display of historical purpose.

Wilkinson's is situated in the centre of Doncaster near the market and is close to Doncaster's main line station (regular from King's Cross, London). Doncaster is served by M1, M18, M180 and A1(M) motorways.
