A 'Chintz Stripe' Cream-ware Teapot Circa 1778 hand-painted in the manner of David Rhodes with decorative vertical stripes in rust-red & black enamels incorporating broad bands of floral sprays painted on a feathery shaded ground and having a moulded foliate spout, fine beaded edging strings, an entwined rope-twist handle with floral terminals and a flower knop to the inset lid, 5½ ins (14 cms) in height (A/F).
