An attractive 24 bore Coorg matchlock matchlock gun, 62” overall, octagonal barrel 48” secured by 2 broad engraved silver sleeves and 40 individual narrow silver bands, the steel sideplates overlaid with filigree decorated silver ‘saddle’, the butt decorated with 3 silver bands adorned with rosettes, hide covered ball terminal to butt, original silver tipped wooden ramrod. GC (some age wear and damage). Received too late for illustration
