An interesting continental sabre, the broad Italian blade 28", c 1610, with toothed crescent marks down back edge, and with cross and crescent marks in the narrow fullers; later hilt with straight silver crosspiece and pommel button; the impressive ivory grip carved with fluted and hatched patterns, and terminating in eagle's head. Good Condition (age wear and pitting to blade) (Please see lot 92 for image)
