A late 18c silver cased pocket watch by William Johnson of London and numbered 48280. The case is hallmarked for London 1783 and the movement has a finely pierced and chased balance cock depicting flowers, foliage and a bird and has a plain flat balance. The dial has beetle and poker hands, Roman numerals and Arabic outer minute figures. The front glass is missing and there is some damage to the movement, 1.5""diam.
