Albert Victor Crewe was a British born American physicist who invented the scanning transmission electron microscope. He was director of Argonne National Laboratory, a member of the National Academy of Sciences, and served as Dean of Physical Sciences at the University of Chicago (1971-81). He received a scholarship to University of Liverpool, UK, where he studied both art and physics. No chips or cracks. No repairs or restoration. Mint condition. Provenance: acquired by the current owner from Aldo Castillo Gallery, Chicago, IL (now located in Miami, FL).
