DAVIS, R., L. DAVIS & W. OWEN (publishers). The New Peerage; or Present State of the Nobility of England. London: 1769. 3 vols., 8vo (171 x 109mm.) 72 engraved plates (recto and verso on 38 leaves). (Some browning and occasional minor marginal tears.) Later blue half-calf, by Riviere & Son, for H. Sotheran & Co, the spines gilt in six compartments with raised bands, brown morocco lettering pieces in the second and third, the others with repeat decoration in gilt (spines slightly rubbed and faded).
