A Chinese armorial porcelain teapot for the English market, Qianlong period, painted en grisaille with the arms and crest of Board of Bordhill and Lindfield, within gilt lined borders, fitted with a replacement silver spout, height approx 13.5cm. Note: This teapot is illustrated in David Howard Chinese Armorial Porcelain, page 352. Howard points out the arms have been copied by the Chinese artist from a bookplate as so often was the case.
