Charles Wood, Jamaica, c. 1760 - a fine and rare waiter with shaped shell and scroll border on three hoof feet, engraved with contemporary coat of arms within rococo cartouche surmounted by a Baron's coronet (two marks to underside: CW; alligator's head - also each of the three hoof feet marked) traces of weight? lightly engraved to underside (8/9;9) - small casting flaw to reverse of rim and light surface scratching.
