RARE STONEHENGE TEXT - Inigo Jones; "The Most Notable Antiquity of Great Britain, Vulgarly Called Stone-Heng (sic) on Salisbury Plain." Restored by Inigo Jones, Esquire, Architect General to the late King. London. Printed by James Flesher for James Pakeman at the sign of the Rainbow in Fleetstreet, and Laurence Chapman next door to the Fountain Tavern in the Strand. 1655." In an 18th c calf binding, 7 3/4" x 11 1/2", 108 pages plus errata, retaining all seven original fold-out plates, some have been mis-folded.Generally good condition, but with toned and brittle edges.
