CYLINDER TOP DESK - 19th c Mahogany Roll Top Knee-hole Desk, probably English, with molded gallery, beaded barrel, interior having seven compartments with shaped valances, flanked by three drawers each side, pull-out writing surface with three faux drawer fronts at back, three tooled leather surfaces concealing storage compartment accessed by flush mount brass ring pulls, upper cabinet with wide central drawer flanked by two narrow drawers, each bottom cabinet with three drawers, all with mushroom knobs and locks, molded surrounds, replaced lock in central drawer, finished panel back, 31" to writing surface, 47 3/4" tall overall, 60" x 30", wear to leather, minor scuffs and sunning to case, loss to molding on left edge, shrinkage crack to top, lock gouge to front of writing surface. From a private Texas residence.
