An Early 19th Century Flintlock Saw-Handled Duelling Pistol by Thomas Mortimer, London, the 23cm octagonal steel barrel engraved "Maker to His Majesty" on the rib, the tang engraved with shields and acanthus leaf tip, with silver line, vent and poincon engraved "T MORTIMER, LONDON", the lock plate signed and engraved with a sunburst, with rainproof pan, lacks cock and slide safety, the walnut stock with silver fore-end tip engraved with foliage, hair trigger with steel spur trigger guard and pineapple finial, the walnut saw-handle butt with chequered grip and flattened pommel set with an engraved butt plate (the underside engraved Jones), lacks ramrod.
