A Late 17th/Early 18th Century "Mourning" Small Sword, possibly French, the 77.5cm double edge diamond section steel blade with a central narrow fuller running 19cm from the ricasso to each side, stamped SOLINGEN, the blackened double shell guard with folded edge and foliate stamped and chased cartouche around the blade, the silver coloured metal hilt with finger rings and wire bound grip with foliate capped fluted ovoid pommel, knuckle bow missing.
