Tripura, Kasi Chandra Manikya (1826-30), gold Mohur, 10.44g, Sk 1748, citing Queen Kirti Lakshmi, lion facing left, trident on back, date to left and below within circular border of pointed arches with three verticle lines in each, rev. in five lines: Śiva Durga Pa/de Śri Śri Yuta Kasi/ Chandra Manikya Deva/ Śri Śrimati Kirti La/kshmi Maha Devyau, two crosses of lozenge-shaped pellets below, all within beaded circle (RB. 267; KM. 308), about extremely fine but somewhat weakly struck, of the utmost rarity
Provenance:Very few coins are known of this ruler and there are none in the British Museum, where one would expect to find an example if any had been presented to British officers.
