A Meissen allegorical group of marriage circa 1760 the lady in flowered dress and cape attended by a girl holding a mirror in her right and a comb in her left hand a gallant kneeling at her side kissing her hand Cupid seated on a stool with an open book on his lap dressed in an ermine-lined cloak the base of oval shape applied with leaves and flowers and moulded with gilt-edged scroll crossed swords in underglaze-blue impressed 5 19cm. 11.5in. one hand and mirror restored For a comparable example see Y.
