A finely constructed copy of a visored sallet in the so-called Italian 'export' style of circa 1460 with two-piece skull joined by a low a comb of rectangular section, drawn-out to a pointed tail at the rear, fitted with pivoting visor formed with a strongly cusped upper edge, pierced with a single vision slot, and secured by a stud on the right, with plain outward turns, and in 'aged' condition throughout; and a copy of a Flemish shaffron, early 16th century, formed of a main plate medially ridged below a central escutcheon and embossed with a series of flutes on each side, fitted with a pair of ear and ocular defences, a pair of additional side-plates fluted en suite with the main plate, shaped muzzle-plate, and in 'aged' condition throughout the first: 24.2cm; 9.5in high (2)
